SN2: ECDPM-University of Pavia Fellowship Scheme
These two members of the SN2 decided to cooperate in teaching and research activities on trade and development. In the framework of the NSN, their Fellowship Scheme envisages every year:
-the teaching by ECDPM staff of a module on trade policy and negotiations at the master programme on ‘Cooperation and Development’ in Pavia;
-one or more masters students from Pavia are offered the opportunity of spending 6 months as ‘Fellow’ at the ECDPM Maastricht head Office, to apply their academic knowledge to the policy-oriented work.
SN2: ESAMI
Members of the NSN, including ECDPM, the LSE, the University of Pavia and SAIIA, are jointly providing a capacity building programme for ESAMI staff on ‘Trade policy and international negotiations’ during the course of 2008. The programme aims to improve the capacity of ESAMI staff on how to train others on Trade Policy Formulation and Trade Negotiations. Ultimately this should enable ESAMI to help African Nation States in mainstreaming trade into National Development Strategies and Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers.

SN2: First SN2 working session (16 March 2007, at the University of Pavia) -An opportunity for the N-S Network members to meet and discuss plans for the future. This session took place at the margin of the ‘Roundtable on European-African Relations’, organized by the Center for International Co-operation at the University of Pavia in co-operation with EADI and ECDPM
