The African Trade Policy Centre (ATPC) was set up by the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in May 2003 with the financial support of the Government of Canada through its Canada Fund for Africa. The primary objective of the Centre is to strengthen the human, institutional and policy capacity of African governments to formulate and implement sound trade policies and participate more effectively in international trade negotiations.

CTA -Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation

Since 2001, agricultural trade in general and trade negotiations in particular have been one of the key thematic areas of CTA’s work. The Agritrade website, CTA’s flagship on ACP agricultural trade issues, aims primarily at keeping ACP stakeholders abreast of the latest developments in agricultural trade negotiations and providing them with an understanding of the key issues (Economic Partnership Agreements, WTO agriculture negotiations, reform of the EU Common Agricultural Policy, Market Access, Food safety, Commodities, ACP-EU fisheries trade relations, etc.). It provides regular updates and non partisan analysis of the implications of these trade issues for ACP countries which contributes to improving their capacity to effectively participate in these trade negotiations...

ICTSD - The International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development

As an independent non-profit and non-governmental organisation, ICTSD engages a broad range of actors in ongoing dialogue about trade and sustainable development. With a wide network of governmental, non-governmental and inter-governmental partners, ICTSD plays a unique systemic role as a provider of original, non-partisan reporting and facilitation services at the intersection of international trade and sustainable development. ICTSD facilitates interaction between policy-makers and those outside the system to help trade policy become more supportive of sustainable development.
 
INTERNATIONAL LAWYERS AND ECONOMISTS AGAINST POVERTY (ILEAP)
ILEAP is an independent, not-for-profit organization whose overriding goal is to promote pro-development outcomes in international negotiations.
Established in 2002, ILEAP provides professional backstopping capacity and support in trade negotiations to a variety of beneficiaries in Africa and the Caribbean. ILEAP provides practical, timely and independent inter-disciplinary trade advice and assistance in trade negotiations to developing countries.

South Centre - An Intergovernmental Organization of Developing Countries

United Nations University - Comparative Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS)

The mission of UNU-CRIS is to contribute towards achieving the universal goals of the UN through comparative and interdisciplinary research and training for better understanding of the processes and impact of intra- and inter-regional integration. The aim is to build policy-relevant knowledge about new forms of governance and co-operation, and to contribute to capacity building on issues of integration and co-operation particularly in developing countries.
